I dream big. I dream so big it sometimes keeps me up at night. I want to accomplish so many things. I want to own a business that is wildly successful. I want to be an amazing mom that takes my kids on adventures. I don’t want to miss a moment of their childhood. I want to show them how to work hard for their dreams. I want to do it all.

I want to do it all but I don’t have to do it all at once.

I feel like I am going a million miles an hour trying to do everything. I want to accomplish so much and try to do it all at the same time. This has led to a lot of anxiety, depression, and a feeling of failure when I don’t accomplish goals by the date I set. I feel trapped in my career or trapped in motherhood somedays. I just wanted to do it all.

But here are the facts:

You don’t have to do it all at once.

You have plenty of time to get everything done.

This is my new mantra. I try so hard to speed through things that I forget what season of life I am in and why I am doing it. I have had to step back, take a breath, and reevaluate what I want in life so many times this last year. I have had to remind myself that I don’t need to do everything this year. The ideas will still be there. Just because I choose one path doesn’t mean the opportunity won’t still be there and if it isn’t, then it wasn’t meant to be. You don’t have to give up your dreams or sacrifice one for the other.

You CAN do it all, just not all at once.
